How often do people complain they have too much to do and too little time?
More than at any time in history time management is seen as a problem. Stress through having too much to do is at an all time high and following the pandemic certain areas of the economy are experiencing mass resignations to try to find a “better life”.
The explanation is surprisingly simple but not appealing to us.
There are only two reasons why one has too much to do and too little time:
Reason 1 As everyone has the same 24 hours in a day then it must be that we are trying to pack an impossible amount into the time available.
Reason 2 We are not effective in the way we use our time.
That’s it. There cannot be any other explanations. For many people both reasons apply.
Once you know the reasons for something the solutions become obvious:
Solution 1 Set a priority, do that first and only try to do what is possible in the time available.
Solution 2 Find and employ more effective ways of doing things.
I can’t help you with Solution 1 – nobody can. Extra time cannot be created and only you can set your priority.
Solution 2 is where I come in.
